Question about reflectors for Portrait Photography?
I'm doing senior pictures for a few of my friends, and as most of the shooting (if not all) will be done outdoors, and seeing as I don't have a speedlight, I'm looking to buy a reflector or two. For general portrait photography, will a 32" diameter circular reflector suffice, or should I look for something larger, or of a different shape?

You can pull it off with 2-32" circular reflectors. Refelctors are typical used for fill light. If you set your subject in heavier shade and try to light them with a Silver Reflector you're going to get squinting subjects. Here's what to do. One 32" diffuser (usually the inside of a 5 in 1 reflector) over your subject in moderate daylight with one Gold Reflector in front and under the face/torso will provide outstanding light. Senior portraits should have a warm color to them. Silver reflectors provide hard light. Diffused sun light and a gold reflected fill light will give great Warm Light. If you dont have someone to assist in holding or a stand for your reflectors/diffusers you may have to get creative with your settings.
If you have a spot in mind for the photos, visit it during the time of day you will be shooting a couple days ahead of time and look for a place with an uncluttered background and slight shade.
