Replacing projector bulbs is easy as 1-2-3
The most common product in a projector is a bulb. There are two kinds of projector bulbs – Halogen or Metal Halide bulbs. Depending on the type of projector you have, one of these bulbs would fit in very nicely. The main differences between these bulbs are:
1. Halogen bulbs are cheaper that Metal Halide bulbs and more affordable.
2. Halogen bulbs give out a yellowish tint and Metal Halide bulbs have a whitish tint.
3. Halogen bulbs burn out completely after their life is over but Metal Halide bulbs fade before burning out.
4. Metal Halide bulbs have a life span over ten times that of Halogen bulbs. The latter should not be used continuously for more than four hours. The former are used for longer periods of projection.
5. Lastly, Metal Halide bulbs are based on newer technology than Halogen bulbs.
Check the wattage and the type of bulb required for your projector.Also, note if your projector has the ability for optional accessories, e.g. multiple display units.
After purchasing the required bulb for the

, check the manual of your projector to see if you have made the right purchase. Now follow these simple steps to enhance the life of your projector bulb:
a. Gather the tools you will require, mainly a manual screwdriver and a soft cloth so that your fingers do not come into contact with the lamp assembly.
b. Next, turn off the power completely and remove the power cord from its socket.
c. Remove the lamp compartment door which is usually located below the projection unit.
d. Pull out the lamp assembly carefully and disconnect any power cables that may still be attached. Remove the burnt out bulb.
e. Clean the area of dust with a soft cloth.
f. Carefully put the new bulb in the same place from where you had taken out the burnt out bulb and slide back the lamp assembly.
g. Put back the lamp compartment in its original place and screw back the door. You are set to use the new bulb after completing the replacement of projector bulb.
Some points to think of after projector bulb replacement to extend its lifespan:
1. The room should be at least ten feet by fifteen feet for projector bulbs to work properly.
2. Have a well ventilated room.
3. The longevity of the bulb depends on its bell curve system.
