2001 Ford Focus low beam on one head light does not work, but high beam does. What??? ?

I got a new bulb, expecting that to fix the problem, but it still has the same problem...

The head light only works on high beam.

Any advice would be helpful...

One wire is for the low beam, one for the high beam, and the third is the ground.

First, make sure the connector contacts are clean and undamaged.

Using a multimeter, place the black meter lead on the negative battery terminal, turn on the headlights and check all three wires. One of them should read 12v or more. then switch to high beams, one of the other wires should now show 12v or more.

After that, check the remaining wire (the ground) for continuity to the negative battery terminal. If it shows zero ohms, your ground is good.

Some cars have separate fuses for both low beams and high beams. Look in the manual or in the lid of the fuse box for the right fuses and check them to see if they are okay.
