A question about advanced photography/photoshop?

hey guys, i been getting into this whole photo taking/photoshoping hobby recently
and i'd like for you guys to take a look at some of these pictures

The first three links don't work so I'll just try to give you advice based on the 4th link.

It doesn't matter what kind of SLR/fancy schmancy camera it is, it's how you take the photos. In the photo in the 4th link, there's a sun glare which adds to the 'nostalgic' feel. You can achieve this through any normal compact camera or even a cell phone camera as well; although some cameras may have modes like 'dawn' or 'sunset' but I suggest you taking them in auto or normal if you're not experienced with a camera. What is really important is how you edit them. This is what determines the mood the photo gives off. You don't even have to be advanced in Photoshop to do this, but if you are you can learn how to download and use filters/actions which change what you call the "color scheme". deviantArt has a lot of PS actions: http://browse.deviantart.com/resources/applications/psactions/?order=9

But for an easier way, you can use the online-photo editor picnik.com which a lot of people use to edit photos quickly; it's really handy once you get used to it.
