I have a Nikon D5000 body and a Nikkor 18-200mm f3.5-5.6 lens. I'm concerned that the f-stop isn't low enough to take good portrait photos. I have heard that a 70-200mm lens would work well, however isn't this range covered in my current lens?
For portrait work I like my 50mm f1.8 but if you want your auto focus, you'll need the f1.4. I also love the 24-70mm f2.8.
