What lens would you use to get this shot?
Hi I'm going to attempt to take a photo of 2 boys at the back and 2 alot smaller girls at the front I only have 1 flash/umbrella set up and white or black back ground

I don't have a great deal of room in my living room. Also the style photo I'm trying to create is the usual what you see above the fire place 2 at the back 2 girls at the front Any advice would be great
Simple answer is, the longest focal length that is possible to get your shot. If you can get back far enough, use the 70-300.
Make sure the light is at least 5 or 6 feet from the subjects as well. !0 feet if you can pull it off. That makes for a more evenly lit shot. You don't want the light bright on one side, and dark on the other.
Using one light is going to be tough. The shadows will almost certainly be on the background. White is more classical. If you use the Black Background, make sure you have enough ambient light coming from behind that they will separate from the black background.
I'd probably not use either background, but the actual home as the background.
